Fisher Price Rock n' Play | My Review
I apologize I thought I had already added this review! So this is the original review that I had written. I will be posting an updated review below it including after speaking with Fisher Price.
I'm going to tell you guys about my Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play. I had my son premature June 11, 17. We weren't exactly prepared completely because we still had some time before he was to arrive. He needed to spend 3 weeks in the hospital for medical reasons so we had a little time to prepare things but not long. My husband bought us a car seat, Evenflo of course, we have always used Evenflo or Graco. Depending what size we needed. My mom had ordered a Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play and we were just anxiously waiting for it to arrive. My mom was so excited! She was thrilled to be buying something for our new little man, her 8th grandchild. She did that with all of her grandchildren and bought them something useful. She received it a few days before our son was released from the Special Care Nursery. She was so anxious to see how it looked all put together. So the next day she made plans to come over and visit our other kids while I put it together. Assembly was fairly easy. It took me a minute to figure out which bars went where and how to get the belt thru. I did notice first off that it was very deep. It seemed to me that it would be really uncomfortable for such a little guy like it would scrunch him in half. I figured we would see how that worked when he got home and we tried it out.
Mom went on and on about how this was her best buy yet and how it was a Fisher-Price so we KNOW its going to be a great product! I love to see her this way its really heart warming!
Before we added blankets
A few days later we brought our little man home. At 5lbs he was a tiny little guy. We were so happy to finally have him home and were ready to use some of the items we had gathered last minute for him. We eventually pulled out the Rock 'n Play. When I laid him inside with the lowest point holding his bum I found that I was correct in my assumption. He was a tad strunched and acted uncomfortable. I still wanted to use it since my mom had been so excited so I gathered some blankets and folded them up to make the large crater a little smaller and smoother. This did work and he loved the rocking motion. I had kept the blankets in there for the longest time. I finally took them out to wash them just as a friend had come over to visit with my kids and I. It was funny because when she put him in there because he was sleeping she did it different then I had. She put his feet at the bottom where I had put his bum. THIS was so much better for him! He was almost standing upright but laying down. He seemed so comfortable! From that day forward that's how I put him in there with his little blankie.
The next day I had put him in there to sleep while I fixed dinner for the family. I noticed that the solid red light was no longer solid. It was blinking tiny red. That was a little strange. I hit the power button and it didn't move. I unplugged it and plugged it into a different plug hoping it was just our outlet. Still nothing. Still just the blinking light. I let it go and went ahead and made dinner. After dinner I noticed the light was red and solid again. When I hit the button it came on and started rocking.
A little confused why it would suddenly stop working I was just happy it started again. It was that evening when it stopped again though. After only getting to use it for a handful of times it hasn't worked since that day. Now it just sits stationary in our livingroom. He still loves to sit in it. It sits him up nicely helping greatly with his reflux.
Overall I love the style. The material is a very cute design and the rocking motion was awesome while it worked. If you can figure out how to use it properly for your child its a great asset. Although it def had the downside that it quit working within a matter of weeks. When I searched it online I came across their page on facebook with a lot of complaints for this. I intend to message them and try to get the motor replaced. A little annoyed that I even have to go through that hassle considering I hadn't even owned it nor used it for very long at all.
Thanks for reading!

My Review
I wanted to update my review about my rocker. I was one that had an issue with the rocker motor going out. I was kind of annoyed since I had only used it a handful of times. I did some research and found that others who had this issue were able to get it resolved pretty easily.
To fix this issue I recommend visiting Fisher-Price on Facebook HERE. I sent them a private message telling them the issue that I was having. I was asked to send a photo or video so they could see what the problem was as well as my model number and product code.
It was really easy and they had my new motor ordered right away. I got a message the following day saying it was out and on its way. They had told me up to 7 business days and I received it in 5 days. They thanked me for buying their product and apologized sincerely for the motor issue.
I originally was annoyed I had to go through getting a new motor but they made it very quick and painless for me. I can appreciate that! Thank you Fisher-Price for correcting this problem and making it so easy along with the great customer service.
